Commercial dairy farming at Kandhar

One day guidance and discussion regarding “Commercial Dairy Farming” held on dated 25/05/16 and 7 to 9 June 2016. Mainly women groups were focused from 4 villages of Kandhar Taluka (Umraj, Bhabulgaon, Balantwadi, Ghodaj) which produces more quantity of milk or in race of high milk production from dairy were selected. As they don’t know how to handle surplus milk or to increase milk production respectively. Dr.Bhushan S. Sadar, Scientist (Vet. Sci.), Mr. Gangadhar Kangulwar, Incharge watershed programme, SS Mandal Sagroli and team took efforts for program.

Distribution of Improved farm implements

Training and distribution of improved farm implements program was carried out at “Utilization of Animal Energy Project”, CAET, VNMKV Parbhani and Krishi Vigyan Kendra Sagroli Nanded.

Farmer groups from Kathkalmbad Tq. Kandhar Dist. Nanded receive 3 bullock drawn planter, 2 fertilizer hoe, 1 turmeric digger, Set of yoke. These implements help farmers to saving in time and money.

KVK Sagroli Nanded – Exposure Visit at VNMKV Parbhani

Self help group leaders were visited VNMKV Parbhani on 10/06/2016. KVK Sagroli arranged a exposure visit for them. Dr. Gadhe and Dr. More from college of food technology explained the opportunities in food processing for SHG. They also shown the different machineries used in food processing. Women got new ideas for entrepreneurship development.

            In afternoon session women visited college of home science.  Prof. Visala Patanam, Dr. Prabha Antawal and Dr. Nalawade give the information about future of SHG and also explained the role and responsibly of SHG leaders. They also shown the drudgery reductions technologies developed by college of home science for farm women.
